Senior/Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Location: UK based (remote)

About Us: We are working with a leading data consultancy specialising in Snowflake. As they enter a new era, they are focusing on sophisticated data use cases, including machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), to drive innovation across various industries.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models to solve complex data-driven problems. You will collaborate closely with data engineering and MLOps teams to integrate ML solutions into our clients' infrastructures, ensuring scalability and performance. This position also involves client-facing responsibilities, requiring excellent communication skills to understand and address client needs effectively. Need someone to take ownership on this and spearhead this team within the group.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to address business challenges.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify relevant features and patterns.
  • Develop and deploy production-grade ML models, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering and MLOps, to integrate ML solutions seamlessly.
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored ML solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML and AI to incorporate best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras).
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying ML models in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data platforms.
  • Understanding of data lineage and model setup, particularly in the retail or financial services sectors.
