Senior/Lead Machine Learning Engineer

About Us: We are working with a leading data consultancy specialising in Snowflake. As they enter a new era, they are focusing on sophisticated data use cases, including machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), to drive innovation across various industries.
Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models to solve complex data-driven problems. You will collaborate closely with data engineering and MLOps teams to integrate ML solutions into our clients' infrastructures, ensuring scalability and performance. This position also involves client-facing responsibilities, requiring excellent communication skills to understand and address client needs effectively. Need someone to take ownership on this and spearhead this team within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms to address business challenges.
- Analyse large datasets to identify relevant features and patterns.
- Develop and deploy production-grade ML models, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering and MLOps, to integrate ML solutions seamlessly.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored ML solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML and AI to incorporate best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras).
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts and experience working with large datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience in client-facing roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in deploying ML models in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data platforms.
- Understanding of data lineage and model setup, particularly in the retail or financial services sectors.
