Lead Functional Consultant - D365 F&O (Operations)

Location: 2 days a week in either London, Tewkesbury, Chipping Sodbury, or Wolverhampton

Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Functional Consultant to guide Bromford’s adoption of D365 F&O (Operations) at scale. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new team of functional consultants, shaping industry-leading approach to D365 implementation and optimization.

Your Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the D365 F&O (Operations) Functional Consultancy team, ensuring all functional consultants work collaboratively to achieve shared business goals.
  • Partnering with the Head of ERP Solutions and Functional Consulting to establish the team’s operating model and ways of working, creating a sector-leading approach to functional consulting.
  • Translating Bromford’s business strategy into effective, packaged D365 F&O (Operations) software solutions.
  • Owning and communicating the D365 F&O (Operations) roadmap, adopting the latest features and functionality, including AI.
  • Leveraging Enterprise Asset Management and Work Order/Contract Management functionalities to optimize critical asset management and operational processes.
  • Implementing the roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders, leading both continuous improvement and project-based initiatives.
  • Acting as the “face” of D365 F&O (Operations) solutions, representing Bromford internally to senior leadership and externally to partners.
  • Ensuring functional consultants support and resolve issues as part of a cross-functional support and improvement team.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing team members, including associates at the start of their careers.
  • Building a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruiting and retaining top talent while maintaining professional standards, including mandatory certifications and personal development plans.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of mastery in D365 F&O (Operations).
  • Expert experience in functional consulting, including leading consulting teams.
  • Proven experience working at scale with Dynamics (e.g., supporting 3,500+ colleagues, 80,000+ properties, 200,000+ customers).
  • Expertise in Enterprise Asset Management and Work Order/Contract Management functionalities within D365 F&O (Operations).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and present to senior leadership.
  • Experience in multiple full-lifecycle D365 F&O (Operations) implementations.
  • Familiarity with continuous change environments.
  • Housing experience is desirable but not essential with the right functional expertise.
