We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a fantastic client of ours just outside of Cambridge.

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your embedded software expertise and experience to diverse industry challenges and impact the technical direction of the software team and its output.

As a senior engineer within the Software or Systems group, you will play a pivotal role in new projects across various markets, including Consumer Products, Medical, Lifesciences, and Commercial industries.

Involving key tasks such as the following;

• Development of firmware for embedded systems with embedded code, such as C
• Employing wired or wireless communications, sensors, user interfaces and control.
• Development on both bare metal and embedded OS such as FreeRTOS & Linux.
• Definition of software system architecture, functional requirements, features and use cases.
• Development of high-quality code for production systems.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to take products from initial concept through to delivery / transfer to manufacture.

Key skill Requirements:

• Development in Embedded programming languages such as C 
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
• Bare Metal and OS development (FreeRTOS/ Linux)
• Working with a range of Microcontroller/Microprocessor devices such as ARM/ STmicro 
• Full Lifecycle design
