The Role
A leading firm within the utilities sector have just announced an exciting new position for a Web & Mobile Engineering Manager.
Heading up a brand new team of developers in central Bristol, you'll play an incremental part in a massive digital transformation; the successful candidates will be given the chance to work (genuinely) on some of the most exciting projects in the UK technology space.
With the intention of migrating all their technical operations across to the cloud, you'll engage with all-things micro-services to ensure a successful transition, alongside a broad range of modern technologies.
What Skills Are They Looking For?
The company have expressed that they are flexible on what technical background the manager will have. They're looking to speak with passionate technologists with a willingness to engage with new projects.
A typical skillset might look like the following:
- Experience leading software development teams & architecting software.
- Proficiency with all-things cloud - AWS Implementation, Lambda & Serverless Technologies
- Background in Software Development; Javascript, HTML, CSS & XML
- Experience developing web applications
- Exposure to NodeJS / AngularJS / ReactJS (or similar JS frameworks)
- SOA experience
- TDD, BDD & AGILE
They are open to considering people with backgrounds in Java & C# .
