Lots of the companies I hire for are in ultra, uber, hyper-scale mode.
Not so many of them hold the spreading of kindness as their core idea. I expect for some, that might be more appealing.
A tech company I’m working with are hiring for a Lead Engineer to join their team of 20 engineers, working on a platform which allows consumers to produce and send bespoke physical images and effects to send to those they feel might need a pick-me-up.
They operate with a very modern microservices tech stack including:
- Go / Golang
- AWS
- Kubernetes
- CI / CD pipelines & DevOps practices
Ultimately, they’d like to hire someone with some Go experience, working at a senior or lead level, to work in a technical capacity. They’re definitely not looking for a people manager, there’s some exciting tech challenges to get stuck into.
Why would you work there?
- It’s not a particularly deadline heavy company – perfect if you have a family or simply don’t want to make work your life.
- It’s a great place to continue to grow as an engineer. They actively encourage people to introduce new technologies within tech discussions and frequently implement these.
- They have a great benefits package – private healthcare, uplifted pension & lots of holiday (plus a handful of other things)
