Head of Development & Application Support

Following an extended successful period in trading the client is looking to reinvest in their IT Systems / Ways of Working. Part of the first phase of recruitment in the early stage of this exciting transformation is for a Head of Development & Application Support.
You will be heading up teams such as but not limited to :
- Development and Testing Functions
- 3rd Party Application Support Functions
- Run State / Systems Development
- Systems Integration
- Insights and Data
What we are looking for :
- Strong Advocate of Agile but not Agile Purist.
- Understanding of the implications of technical debt management and strategies to minimize the risk of legacy solutions.
- Understanding of CI/CD an DevOps
- Management of a development teams, onshore and offshore.
- Understanding of the principles of product management and a hybrid development / support model
- See’s value in Documentation, open sharing of knowledge and the value of standardisation.
- Enjoys working within change and transformation situations
- Flexibility, patience and pragmatism
- Happy to focus on maintaining current estate and building capability to support ongoing maintenance & development of new cloud solutions
- Takes a pride in service and delivery.
