I am looking for a contract Data Engineer to work with an excellent tech for good organisation within Climate Change,

The role is fully remote (UK based, sorry you cannot use an umbrella that is sponsoring you either) Circa £450 per day for 6 months initially.

• Migrate and manage data infrastructure in GCP from an existing project, including Postgres and BigQuery databases, Kubernetes clusters, CI workflows and cloud storage.
• Migrate and maintain a machine learning pipeline for monitoring fossil-fuel power plants using satellite data, based around Airflow, Kubernetes, Google BigQuery and TensorFlow.
• Improve testing of code, data and modelling, in the context of a machine learning pipeline. Look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and maintainability of this pipeline.

Requirements

• Experience in GCP or AWS.
• SQL and Postgres.
• Docker and Kubernetes skills required.
• Python.
• GitHub.
